Most of you will be aware that there has been a number of break-ins or attempted break-ins in and around Weston recently.
Your Parish Council agreed that it was therefore pertinent to make safety and security the theme for the Parish Meeting this year. This will focus particularly on how to make our homes and outbuildings more secure, what we should do in the unlikely event that we suffer a break-in, how to make our homes safer from the risk of fire, and what we can all do to help keep our residents safer and our village more secure.
On a separate but related issue we have had a traffic speed census completed in the village and the Parish Council will share with you the analysis of the results and seek your views on what could be done to make our roads safer.
Hertfordshire Police and Fire Service have been invited to the meeting and our County and District Councillor Steve Jarvis will be there. As usual we will be awarding our Rose Bowl to the person(s) who we feel has made a valuable contribution to the Parish and end the evening with the traditional cheese and wine.
This is not a formal Parish Council meeting, it is a Parish Meeting for residents of the Parish so if you wish any particular item to be discussed let the Parish Council know by the end of March please. It promises to be an informative and fun evening so please come along on 4th April at 19.30hrs in the Village Hall.
